Went to dyno today - Dissapointed...

Well i put my car on the dyno at 11am this morning and came up with some dissapointing numbers...

261rwhp
305rwtq

SAE corrected

It is an automatic though, so that hurts me a lot... What do you guys think about these numbers?

Its about 330hp and 385tq at the crank so I guess that's not too bad...

Did you get AFR with it. The Granatelli does little but make a tuners job harder and the AFR could be off because of that.

Looks like you running a little rich to me. I found the most power at about 12.8 AFR.

the 93 does not have a mass air flow sensor. the "stock" 93 LT1 was rated at 275 HP. What changes have you made? The 93 Vett was rated at 290 or 300 HP.

Yea I am now realizing how much an auto and converter takes away from the dyno hp... hella a lot more than a manual...

Re: Went to dyno today - Dissapointed...

Wow.. Im really surprised. I guess this is the norm number for a stockish car.. When my car was stockish (intake, exhaust) I put down a good 287rwhp.. The car is a 6 speed car and was internally untouched.

you can see the dyno graph here... http://www.socalmuscle.com/1dynorun2003.jpg

Weird.. Everyone else seems to be getting lower than what im used to numbers.. I wonder what the deal is with this.

Yes but everyone knows that what autos lack in dyno #'s they make up for at the track, especially with a stall and some sticky tires.
