well going to go ahead and replace the oil pressure sending unit...

can i do it with oil still in the car and how easy/hard is it?

i know its on that back of the intake, but i would like to see a pic of it to know what im looking at and to get it off.

they sell a special socket for it, not that big of a deal easier if your emmision free.

It's gonna be a hard area to get to. I beleive snap on makes a socket for them that would make it a lot easier with the intake manifold still in place. The oil shouldn't have to be drained but might be a good idea to do an oil change afterwards incase you get any contaminants in there while changing the sensor.

well i just changed the oil about a 4 days ago. Also i have my egr removed along with the 2 plates in the back that are inplace.

Would they sell the socket at the parts store.

Also the part that unscrews is the hex part that sits perpendicular, or the one that sits in the intake? Which one do i unscrew? or do i unscrew the black thing only, cause it looks liek it has hex socket on there too.

the black thing only the hex deal is what the socket attaches too yes a parts store will have it but its about 13-15 bucks however.

i got it. the unit was 18.99 and the socket was 5.99 so it was like 27.??

Was hoping to get my discount. LOL starting to work at autozone this week part-time

i spent alot more for my stuff from autozone a bit back so sounds like you got a decent deal to me.

I've got a 95... And I'm pretty sure mine is on the left side of the block next to the oil filter
