welding questions reguarding roll bars and jacks

hey guys,

among the obious reasons for a roll bar, i hae a question about the install on one particular aspect reguarding the cars frame!!!

the roll bar will strengthen the chassis like the SFC's do, when i weld my 8pt in. do i want the car on jacks?

i figure i should since that will eliminate any possibilty of a flex during welding. i dont wanna weld metal into a bent frame right?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd suspect you'd want the car on the ground to weld the roll cage in. When I ordered my KBDDSFC's, the tech at Kenny Brown told me to be sure the car frame wouldn't bow from jacks when doing the install. The shop that installed mine used a chassis lift that allowed them to ensire the chassis was straight.
Long story short, the car on the ground with weight on the suspension is what you want. This will prevent bowing of the frame. Again, someone correct me if I was steered in the wrong direction on this
