weird dyno graph...suggestions?

More details here...

https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=597625

Most of my pulls looked like the green lines, VERY wavey.

Could it be floating the valves? Crane dual springs setup by Lloyd with a comp 218/224 xfi cam and 8lbs of boost(although does it with 4lbs also)

I had pulls similar, but mine were a little more dramatic, I had screws coming loose on my MSD opti. Also check your coil, could be the boost blowing flame out, is there a miss or just laying down?

hmm, strange.

I am not sure why the Tq curve would just kill off to nothing and then have the HP #'s hang on for another 15 MPH (500-1000 RPM) and then do the same thing. You would expect both to happen at once but maybe someone with more dyno experience can shed more light.

Here is the graph vs engine speed, you can see the engine speed DROP at wot.

I have the two dyno jet file if anybody wants them to play around with.

Auto trans? If so, may be the torque converter.

Maybe spark retard? Looks like the motor is rising in horsepower in a normal manner then it looks like the rug is being pulled out from under it such as the computer removing timing or retarding the spark. Then it looks like it is putting timing back in and the horsepower starts rising again. Just some thoughts.

It can't pull any timing at wot with the tune that is on it right now.

Yes a th400/4000 nitrous converter, I thought maybe at first I flattened out the fins on the converter, but the coil fixed it and coil wire fixed it, both for a day.

Heres another angle, perhaps the intake elbow is collapsing momentarily?

Just realised your supercharged, maybe not then, unless there is something that could collapse like an elbow in your setup..

mine did some wierd stuff like that also. Its the converter doing it. The only thing you can do is lock it up. Otherwise you will see wierd graphs. remember the HP/TQ numbers are all calculated and not actual. The converter and gear combo is making the programs math go crazy.

Try a manual lock up switch.

Looks like your converter flash is at or almost at 5200 rpm. The program can not calculate the correct numbers and make them cross at 5250 cause the rpm's are already there.

I'm really wondering if it's the converter or a tranny issue, but fluid looks great. It could have flattened out the fins in the converter though.

Thing is I still wonder why the coil fixed it for a day, and the coil wire fixed it for a day also.
