Weird coolant problem.
Ok so I have been driving my car for sometime (1 year or 2) with no coolant problems. I think that the heater core had a small leak cause i could smell coolant at times. I recently put some radiator flush into my car, because the system looked dirty. After doing that eventually I came to my present problem.
I parked at my house and noticed that the coolant was belched from the coolant reservoir. I figured that maybe the coolant had gotten too low from the heater core leak. So naturally I top off the radiator and try to bleed the system. That didnt work, couldnt get the bleeder valve to seep coolant.
I know there is air in the system, yet cannot get it out.
I have done 1 of 3 things.
1. clogged my heater core with bs.
2. Weakened the pump via bs from the rad flush cleaner.
3. Opened up the heater cores leak further(from cleaning), allowing a route for air to travel into the system.
The funny thing is the car will drive at correct temp , but will puke its coolant when I park out the reservoir.
I am totally not needing this heater in the car, and wonder if i can just route a hose from output to intake on the water pump. This would help me pinpoint my problem, but would i still need a bleeder at this point?

The 97 has two bleeders, one on the hose and the other on the thermo. housing. You will be suprised how much air is in there!! It takes some time for the coolant to seep from the bleeders, be patient. Jacking up the front of the car helps, but isn't necessary.
