Weight loss going to headers?? what is weight of stock catback to aftermarkets??

Weight loss going to headers?? what is weight of stock catback to aftermarkets??

Might go to ASM headers and random tech catback but was wondering weight difference??
Ever pound helps so was curious if slp loudmouth is much less weight or toher headers??

Unless your building a bracket car i would not care to much about the weight of headers. If headers A weighs 4pounds gives 10 hp and header b weigh 6 pounds and gives 18hp, you would buy b right. What im saying is that you buy parts on how they perform. If weight is really a problem just add another mod when to your finished product to make up for the 20 extra pounds. 100lbs=.1 in the 1/4 not really worth to much effort.

you mean circle track?
you can beatRich krause with a semi in bracket racing. it just bout concistancy, not weight



FWIW, i think headers are abit lighter than manis- they felt lighter anyway

With road racing every little bit especially off the front end makes a difference.

To the question, there is a worth while weight savings between stock cast iron headers and after market tubular headers.
As far as the rest of the exhaust system there is little difference. It's all about the same gage steel. That is why GM went to titanium exhaust on the Z06.
