Im trying to decide on wheels

zr1=17x9.5
z06=17x9.5
c5=17x8.5
eagle 077=17x8

I will run 275/40/17s

Will the wider tire 8.5 or 9.5 handle better than the same tire on the smaller rim of 17x8 ot 8.5???

The wider rims will probably do you better, because on the smaller rims the tires will stick out more, which I think makes the sidewall flex more.

So the ZR1 or Z06 wheels will probably be the best bet.

Are you sure a 275 tire will even fit on an 8 inch rim???
I thought it was a min. 9" width...

 

yea they fit on there, i know several peaple who have done this
