I was wondering what is the common weak point of a LT1 (93) bottom end. What tends to go first when you start to push the max HP from it in stock form.

 

I would say rod bolts, then pistons. The crank and rods are reasonably decent, but factory rod bolts are no match for ARP's, and factory hypereutectic pistons are the next weakest link in a stock bottom end, especially with a power adder.

Thats not to say you still can't get some good power and life out of it.
