Way to check power window motor?

I replaced the window motor little over 1500 miles ago... but 1 and a half years ago. I pulled the motor again I read all the wires except the wires in the inner door that I can't get to. I checked the switches and everything checks out...... Is there a way to check this motor out of the car and I can't remember how much these things cost. Anyone out there know anything on either of these things?

just jumper positive and negative to the 2 prongs on the motor from your battery. doesnt matter where the positive and negative cause they work both ways. one polarity goes up and the other makes the motor go down.

i recently bought one from orielys and it was around 70 bucks.
theres a ton of cheapos on ebay for 20-30 bucks.

Now my only question would be if the direct 12v will maybe give me a false read on the motor? Like it being bound up and not turning over with all the stuff in the car hooked up and running as well. With 12 straight volts it might just be enough to free it up...

I hear what you're saying, but if you say all the switches and wiring checks out good.......then there is obviously a problem with the motor.

I do a simple test to check the harness that plugs directly to the window motor. (the plug that is inside the door).......... you need a 12v test light and have both passenger and driver side window switch hooked up.......... ground the test light to 1 of the terminals and probe the other terminal and hit the window switch up and down. the test light should come on, going up and going down. if that checks out good, then the motor gots to go.
