waterpump is taking a dump...what to buy?

my car is just a daily driver with no mods. i make a few trips to the strip but not that often. i hear the electric pumps don't last long compared to the stock ones but i'm sure that's probably on cars that i ran extremely hard at the track. would a electric pump last me just as long as a stock pump under my driving conditions?

Stick w/Stocker

IMO, I would stay with a stock replacement. Mine went out on me and I also pondered the question about going to an electric, but seems how cheap it is just to re-install a reman or even a new one was just as beneficial to me(mainly street driven, 10-20 strip runs/year)

If I were you I'd just stay with stock, benefits aren't worth it on a mainly street driven car, not for the work involved(but I'm wiring illiterate )

JMHO, that's what I chose to do

Just replace it with a new water pump, you dont need the electric pump IMO...If you have Bumper to Bumper around you...buy one from them, they sell AC Delco parts

Guess Bumper to Bumper is in the South.... all you need is a AC Delco water pump... I paid 300 for my water pump, that was from the dealer...
