I'm swapping my waterpump for an OEM one. I can't seem to get the sleeve thing off the back of the old water pump that connects the spline on the new water pump to the one on the engine. Any ideas on how to get it off or can I buy one at a chevy dealer?

Also, do you need to put sealent on the threads of the water pump bolts?

 

The sleeve should just pull off. It's onlt held in place by a small o-ring. Use a teflon based sealant on the waterpump bolts.
