i just put my water pump back on, but i dont remember watching where the drive went. im not sure if the drive went back where its supposed to be. Is there anyway i can not have the drive in the waterpump right? or is it fine since the pump went flush against the block

 

The waterpump drive is splined on both ends. Doesn,t matter how it goes on. If you have the water pump on and the shaft didn,t fall out then you should be good to go.
