Waterpump

I had some maintenance done at the dealership today and he said that my water pump is leaking and my crank position sensor is leaking oil. As far as the water pump goes, other than HP and better cooling, is there an advantage to going with an electric waterpump? ie, easier install? Easier install down the road? I know they don't last as long as regular water pumps. Anyone know of any good guides?

As far as the crank position sensor goes, should I just replace the whole sensor to fix the leak? From what I read the o-ring is attached to the sensor. How easy is this to replace?

I don't think it is really any easier to install an electric pump. If anything it's harder cause you still need to remove the pump. I'm not sure about it cooling better. I've never had one. I just used the above link to help with the removal of the pump.

Re: Waterpump

I know that an Electric water pump flows better, and you should pick up some kind of power. because you are not relying on the engine to turn your water pump anymore, so one less thing the engine has to do.
