Waterpump

My water pump is REALLY REALLY hot, and the car wasn't even idling for 5 minutes..Is this normal..And..could someone tell me when I take off the Opti. what do I do with the dowel pin, if it's either in the cam or still in the opti. I'm confused. Help would be great.

When you remove the Opti, the dowel pin stays in the camshaft snout.

As for the waterpump temp, what coolant temp is the guage reading?

your 93 doesnt use the dowel to drive the opti, it uses a slines stub shaft, which could stay in the opti or cam, it just slides in
