Is Water Wetter worth it?

I'm gonna install my 160 stat tomarrow along with my trickflow elbow. But i saw some of that water wetter. Has anybody used it, does it make much of a difference? I didn't order any and would like to install the stuff tomarrow. Do i really need that stuff?

Do a search and you will find others who use it. I personally use 15% antifreeze and 85% water (it does not freeze in AZ) with water wetter. It cools down much quicker with my fans on than it used to.

With a 50/50 mix, water wetter, 160* Stat, and Different Fan Settings my car never gets over 175* no matter what is like, how I am driving, or how long it idles.....

You can wait until you get it to put it in, what I would do is wait for the car to warm up and the thermostat to open than pour the stuff in, that way it will mix alittle bit better with the coolant already in the system...

i use royal purple in my z with a 180 thermostat and a jet fan switch it will hardly ever get over 190.with the air on it might get 200 its right noe in kansa city i am sure with a 160 it would run 170-175 i think it a good idea.

If you want the gauge to stay closer to the left, run more water.

You want heat in the comb chamber, but not in the intake tract. Still haven't figured out if cooler coolant means more power. Heat transfer (engine heat to coolant) is good!

I would not open the radiator cap when the engine is hot, unless you have a relative who is a plastic sergen, and can rebuild faces. No flames ment, but think this out .My02

Correct, if its under a lot of pressure it WILL explode on you. The idiots at the local MR. Lube out here found out the hard way =P

Maybe im just lucky, but with my lt1 and with any other car I've worked on, as long as the car has been running, or at least in the on position with an electric water pump, it hasn't exploded on me, or even overflowed the slightest. But you might as well let the cap off real slow to make sure
