Yeah i agree, go ahead and do it. That stuff listed would only take a couple hours to do. Putting it back together would take a little longer.
But whatever you count on it costing you, double it and that is more realistic.

Man the waterpump is a piece of cake compares to other stuff on that engine. I think i swamped mine out, scrapped the gasket, and had the new one in and running in a couple hours.

Definitely need a lot more work, taking the water pump off is cake now..lol...i have had mine off of my car 3 times and it is very easy, take the fans out, drain radiator, take water pump off, then for the cam take crank pulley off, then the opti, crank snout, and timing cover then you can get to the timing gears, but in order to do the cam the radiator has to come out along with the condensor, so you have to drain the freon out of it.

Oh, come on, you should at least do the Opti now, or you will later. Once the opti is out, then you are pretty close to having the intake off anyway. So just pull it and do the cam.

Be sure to notice, as you stand back to admire your work, that the heads will practically fall off by themselves at this point. And they ARE dirty anyway...

See sig for MY waterpump repair job. It's a long and slippery slope
