water pump question... i'm lost

94 z28 - i have a vortech blower, in the install they tell you to turn the one elbow up to a 90* angle. this is the hose that connects to the pump and goes down to the oil cooler. now they tell you this cuase the blower blower will eat the hose other wise with clearance. now my metal elbow once i moved it isn't tight anymore and leaks antifreeze and i sealed it with some type of stuff kinda like jb weld. it was like a clay type material for cars. and under boost it shot the metal elbow right out of the water pump.. i'm pissed... i knew that it would never be tight after messing with it. problem now is what do i do to put the metal elbow back into the pump and make sure it stays there? or do i need another water pump??? thanks

Maybe you can get a 90 degree threaded elbow and tap some threads into the pump. Possibly something like 1/4" pipe thread or whatever is the next size up...like 3/8" maybe...not sure what the next size up from 1/4" is in pipe thread. Just an idea.
