Water pump question

I recently tossed my serpentine belt and suspect that when it shredded it may have gotten between the waterpump seal. I say that because after the belt incident, I started getting a leak from the pump. It isn't coming from the hole at the bottom of the pump. I pulled if off and found the seal to be damaged. What I need to know is, is there an easy way to replace the seal and is there a gasket that goes with the seal? The seal I'm referring to is the one that goes around the rod that drives the pump. Thanks.

There was recently a long thread about replacing the water pump drive seal and the trick to doing it without ripping the seal. Try a search for the details.
