Water Pump Question

This is likely a dumb question (and I didn't find what I needed through search), but I'm unsure. I'm in the process of changing out my water pump and need to know if you have to change the water pump cover seal (GM #10217886)?

So far, I've got the old pump off, and the coupling is rusted onto the water pump itself, so I got a new one. I just want to make sure everything is right before it all goes back together.

If you're in there, you might as well - if it goes 5k miles after you put the
new pump on, you'll wish you did It's a $5-$10 part.
