Hey there!

So, how are ya all doing? Well, this week I am going to tackle that Opti change as we all seemed to agree that it was probably the culprit to my stumble and miss problems.

My question is about the water pump. I have limited funds and after buying a new MSD coil, MSD wires, and the Opti from Jason, I am more than tapped out for this little project.

When I take the water pump off, is there a way to tell its condition? I ask because I just cannot afford to replace it too. I bought this car at 86k miles (now 113k) and have no idea if it has ever been changed before me. I know the hoses have because the factory type clamps are gone and replaced with ones we all normally use. So, my question is if it does not leak (it does not at all), can I tell if it is still a solid unit? I know there are no guarantees, but what tell tail signs, if any, are there for one on its way out?

Please let me know, I am about to tear this thing down and begin the fun! LOL!
