Shoebox, or any one that has done it before, how much does the swap cost roughly? Just thsoe parts on the list.

Also, when doing an LT4 hot cam swap, does the opti need to be converted also since the LT4 was for '96 (I think).

1995RedZ28, are you gettign any trouble at all from the opti?? Hessitation or vibrations? If I were you, start saving up now to do the swap all at once.
Plug those part numbers in at gmpartsdirect.com to get an idea of cost.

You do not have to convert if you don't want to, even with the new cam.

Thanks. It came up to about $420 with out doing hte 8mm chain kit. So for about $100 to $120, more than replacing the non vented opti, it can be swaped for a vented opti plus the cam.

Now anotehr question is: Does the LT4 cam come ready for a vented opti?

$900 for an LT4 hot cam, and replacing the non vented opti for a vented sounds good to me any day. (plus money spent on beer for the person that will help you install it ) People pay more than that for headers and cat back, and get probably a little over half of the gains.
