I pulled out the wp gear/shaft assembly and had read about the possiblity of some retainer part falling off into the lifter galley during removal and want to be sure that everything that is supposed to be there is and I haven't left something behind in there as I don't want to pull the intake off too.
I don't see anything in there looking thru the hole and the oil drain holes to the front of the block.

Is there any part missing in this pic that fell off in the galley?

 

hmmm, its been a while since i did the cam swap but it seams that there should be another cover over the bearing, not for sure and i'm too lazy to go dig through my parts to look, haha

 

That looks perfectly normal to me.

 

Just put one in my new 355 and it looked like the one posted. Only cleaner.
