Water Pump Drive seal

My very small oil leak is coming from the waterpump drive seal. It only makes about one drip per night on the garage floor so its not to severe. I want to wait until it gets warmer out before I tear that water pump off again. I was wondering if this could hurt the opti because it also leaks onto it and drips down onto the bottom of it. Is it alright if I just wait a few months?

Re: Water Pump Drive seal

Yes it's OK just going to make a bigger mess.
When ya replace the seal I have found it better to put it in with the timing cover in hand to make sure ya don't turn it wrong side out. Be gentle with the cover when going back on and ya will be OK.
