Water in Oil??

Lets say you had a decent amount of water in your oil everytime you started your car and it was not a blown head gasket..... what else could it be? I am extremely frustrated I thought for sure the head gaskets were to blame. Thanks

you may check the intake manifold for cracks, the block could be cracked - what is your oil pressure running

The oil pressure is fine.... but seems to go down as more water gets into the oil. There aren't any noticeable cracks that I can see.

most cracks arent visible from the outside, have you pressure tested the cylendars to see if they are holding pressure.

I haven't tested to see if they are holding pressure yet. I will have to wait the head is still off the motor. I am assuming that the problem was not the head gasket as the gasket had no visible wear. with the exception of a little dirt on the outer edges it looked as good as the new one.

It could be a cracked head.I would have them both checked out.

Yeah, I pretty much have it back together if the problem persits I will tear it down again and have it properly checked I guess I have been in denial I assumed since the car was fine before winter and the cam swap that it must have been something I did.

Sometimes theres no visible tear/crack, or sign on the gasket. It could be very small where the water is getting through. This is, of course, dependant on how much water is actually in you oil.

Seems to be a fairly large amount of water in the oil for the amount the car was run.
