Water in Oil......

Ok so today I went and drained the oil like everyone said, the oil had plenty of little bubbles in it so now I'm pretty sure that it is the head gasket. Question is... how can I be sure that it is the head gasket and that the block is not cracked? When I first changed the water pump I thought I saw water leaking from 2 places, one being the pump, and one being the bottom of the front case, by the oil pan. There was no trail from the leading to the water dripping from the front case. So is there a way I can check it, or do I just have to change the head gasket and go from there? I'm tempted to just rebuild the engine........

From: Michigan is a decent state.
99/100 its head gasket.

A cracked block would probobly create a lot of noise.

I wouldn't worry about it. just get your heads milled before you throw them back on.

99.9% - headgasket
00.1% - cracked block or head

Pull heads off and inspect headgaskets. With the block being cast iron, it would be extremely hard to crack it. The heads being aluminum are more prone to cracking, but it's still quite unlikely.
