Water coming through the ac vents?

Its dripping on the inside from the ac vents and its spitting out of the ac vents. It's already ruined a stereo. WTF is wrong with the a/c?

Re: Water coming through the ac vents?

Either the evaporator drain is clogged or you have a heater core leak. Is it water or coolant? That should give you a clue.

Re: Water coming through the ac vents?

I bypassed the heater core because i thought that might be it. I saw the water in the floorboard on the passenger side of the car and assumed it was the core, but after that the water continued to come through the vents and puddle on the floor. I'm going to check the evap drain. Thanks for the idea.
