Did you ask Lloyd? He is usually pretty close with his estimates. That is if all your ducks are in a row. If everything is right on, I don't see 390 rwhp being a problem. Good luck.

Loyd is thinking +10HP for the LE2 heads and almost +10 for the intake making his guess between 385RWHP - 390RWHP. I am shooting for 400RWHP but I think it will be barely out of reach, but who knows.

You deck the block at all? Because that's a swing of about 1 point of compression from not being decked to being zero decked with that gasket. That can make a difference of 15rwhp.

I'm gonna say 375rwtq and 395rwhp, but I wouldn't be suprised if you make 400+rwhp

I'm gonna guess 381/363. If your goal was 400rwhp, how come you didn't go with the LE2 camshaft to match the heads? You would surely reach your goal that way...

Yes the block is decked enough to clean it up, not a whole lot. The block was also align bored and studded. The short block is going together this week so I can get a deck measurement later on.

I dont have LT's cause I dont want to lose any ground clearance and I can attach or remove my catalytic converter in 10 minutes or less. When I go on vacation and the top is down I dont want to smell the exhaust. I have been told that the AS&M mid-tubes are not long tubes but they are very close interms of performance.

I chose the LE 1.5 cam because I dont want to rev to the 6.5K RPM point. I prefer to keep it around 6.3K max. By doing this the engine will last longer and be more streetable so I have been told. This is not my daily driver but I want street car manners rather than race car manners. The LE 1.5 cam should have a 10# or so boost in torque according to Lloyd.

A built motor should be able to handle 7000 RPM's all day long without any issues at all.

he wanted the extra low end TQ of the LE1.5 cam. It is in the low/mid 220's on duration and will make a REAL FAT TQ curve.

If the headers are 1 5/8, I am guessing 380 RWHP and 365 RWTQ. If they are 1 3/4 headers, I am guessing 395 RWHP and 375 RWTQ.

Hopefully they have a 3" collector and not a 2 1/2 or 2 3/4 bell type collector.

I didn't notice the mids.... so knock about 20 off my TQ number. The HP is going to meet your goals though.

The Arizona speed and marine headers are 1.75 primaries with the 2.5 3 bolt flange collectors. I might re-think the headers.

And the mail order tune is most likely going to hold you back too, unless you get lucky and its spot on.
