Does Comp have an XE cam like this? I want it better than the 305 cam, and the 306 is just way too much for me. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

The 503 cam has roughly the same advertised duration as the 305, but it is 224/230 instead of 220/230.

You could also do a custom Extreme grind that's 230/236 at .050, but smaller than the 306 advertised, so it would idle better.

i would go to combination motorsports and get a custom cam from them, like the 2279/239 at .050 525 541 with 1.5 rr.

 

I'll probably be going with 1.6 RR's.

 

yeah, but when you get this cam or any other cam i would recommend getting new valve springs unless you know yours will hold, which stock ones wont.

I would go with teh 230/236 as the cam to be in between the 305 and 306. Very good cam, proven performer and from what I have heard good street manners.

 

yes, that would be a good cam, the one i specified earlier was for a blower/nitrous so what ever you are goin to do to your car.

 

Both Summit and Jegs have the 230/236 in stock for 239$, you'll just have to specify that its for an LT1 or take ot to a Machineshop and have them put in the longer Dowel.
