Question Walbro Intank Problem

ok, i got the whole deal setup, the pump is in the housing, and i epoxied the housing shut overnight, its nice and tight. my stock wiring was 3 wires. there was a purple one that has a speaker type connection that runs to right above the float mechanism. i dont know what thats for but the walbro came with two wires, a gray and a black and i put them straight into the stock plug on the car and i hooked up that purple wire into the walbro connector like the stock one was, but it just wont turn on.

i was looking at the stock pump and i noticed a + and - marks and on the walbro they were reversed, i didnt really pay it anymind because i didnt think they would have made a product that was just that wrong and people would still be using it.

i tried every wire combo i could, of the 3 wires.

BTW, is there any type of FUSE OR RELAY for the fuel pump? i cant for the life of me figure out why its not turning on.

any suggestions? THANX!!!
