voltage at solenoid

I need to know the voltage at the solenoid when the key is in the crank position. The wire from the ignition key, not the heavy wire from the battery.

If the VATS system is faulty will it show low voltage at this location?

You should see close to battery voltage on the pink wire when the key is in the START position.

What would cause low voltage at the solenoid?
Possibly the VAT(theft deterrent) relay???

Could be. It's between the ignition swith and the solenoid.
