Vigilante torque converter with 76,000 mile tranny? Risky or not?
I still have the factory A4 transmission with 76,000 miles in my 95 Z. It still seems to shift and perform fine and I am wanting to put a torque converter in my car. If I go ahead and purchase a Vigilante 2800 stall converter (already have tranny cooler installed) and my transmission goes out 3 months later is that going to ruin my new converter??? I guess what I am trying to ask is if the transmission blows up does it take out the converter too? Thanks!

Heres the thing man, 76K is a lot but these trans can last a while. How ever say you did it and 10 miles later the trans dies. NO SHOP will waranty the trans at all if you reuse the converter from the failed trans. Thats just the way it is
