Vigi 3500 in stock LT1?

I'm talking to a guy about buying his, it has 2500 miles on it, he he has an LS1 so it wont work, any case these are pretty strong and the quality rocks on them, so I aint to worried, but 3500? Is that going to be to much, with the stock converter you really dont notice it untill to go wot on the car, is it the same with a Vigi, under normal load will the car still act normal?

3500

I have a 3200 Vig on a completely stock drivetrain. It does not drive like a stock converter. When moving from a stop with as little gas as possible, the engine revs to about 2200rpm before moving. If you get into it all the way, the 3200 Vig stall will flash well past 3200. With my 3700lb car, mine flashes to about 3600rpm and takes off with much Drag Radial spinning. The LS-1 converter will not work, so don't bother. 3500 does sound like a little bit much unless your planning on a cam and heads later on down the line like I am.

IMO 35OO is a little too much for a stock car. I have a bolt on car and just went to an auto with a 2800 stall converter. The converter company told me that a 3500 stall would put me out of my peak tork curve. I'll find out this saturday if they are right.

HEAT

The way you tell if you're out of your torque curve is with a tranny temperature gauge. If you're out of your curve, it will get HOT and stay HOT. This will, of course, cause your tranny to fail in no time flat. Be sure to put a tranny cooler on with whichever stall you choose. I went for the big RV style.
