Break it in HARD... not "nice".

My car runs like a raped ape and my 355 was not broken in easy.

we're gonna check the oil pressure out this weekend...seems a little low to me and another reason i'm tryin' not to beat up on it too bad yet. it might be the sending unit...gonna replace that first.

oil pressure just doesn't seem to be as high as it was prior to this rebuild. it will get down a little below the 20 line now when it's hot, which still may be relatively normal, but it also won't get above 40, even when i give it a lot of rpm. the only time i see anything above 40 is first thing in the morning before it warms up. i don't think im in the "danger zone" or anything, but think it's at least worth trying a new sending unit and investigating a little this weekend.

also, to answer the other question, im in the columbia, sc area

what oil are you running?

hopefully you have changed it after the build to get all the debri and assembly sube out of there.

It gets hot here in the summer so I run 20/50 oil. if you are using some real thim 0w10 sythetic oil, the pressure will be lower than usual.

I think I have changed the oil 3 times already and only have about 300 miles on it definitely am not taking any chances there. It definitely gets hot here in S.C. Only thing I have run so far is 10W-40, but have considered going a little thicker and seeing how it looks. May give that a try this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion.

That's good to hear, seeing all the nice parts you have. I'd hate for you to puke it before its time.
