Vibrations?

Today I was driving to the gas station when I catch a stop-light. I come to a complete stop and noice the car is vibrating terribly and making wierd sounds (sort of a popping/snapping sound) from the engine compartment on the passanger side. I looked at my rpm's and they are fine around 700 and I have good oil pressure,no misses or idle problems. I can actually feel the vibration in the brake pedal when it is engaged, but when it starts to accelerate everything turns back to normal. So far I have looked at the tranny mount, checked all calipers and brake lines, checked the flywheel to see if it as rubbing against something, and also swapped out my stockdrive-shaft to see if it was tweeked. I have no clue where else to look, I dont think its a motor problem due to it idleing and running excellnt. Anyone have any ideas?
