Unhappy Vibration when accelerating an braking

Ok guys heres my problem... When I'm going freeway speeds and then I brake and hit the speed of 50mph I get a really bad vibration in the steering wheel and the brake pedal, I mean the the way the steering wheel shakes so violently that the steering wheel makes noises and this is kinda freaking me out... Now when i accelerate to 50 mph and hold it there, there would be some vibration also but not as bad as braking... Could this be that my ball joints are going and my brake rotors are warpped or the wheel bearing is starting to go.

Thanks

Yes, warped brake rotors will shake your steering. My situation was the same until I chg'd said rotors...

About the 50 miles acceleration: could be your calipers are staying engaged....

More than likely your rotors are warped pretty bad and it is even interfering with your steady cruise (brakes not applied) get some new rotors installed and new brake pads and see how that helps.

Check your tire balance too... if you have a vibration that comes and then goes away that's most likely it. But don't wait too long because the vibration can wear out bearings and shocks.

Well I did get new brake pads put on and I also re-greased the floating caliper pins cause they hd very little grease on them and plus the right side was worn down more than the left. But thanks for the replys i have to save my money for new rotors

Sorry for the late post, but mine is oing the same, but only when braking.

I have 13,000 miles on my car, it's an '02 Z. Should this be covered uinder warranty if my rotors ar warped?

Also, will turning the rotors help any or should I just buy new ones that are better than the stock rotors? (if not covered by warranty)
