Vibration above 60mph with energy tranny mount?
I swaped my stock riped tranny mount for an energy suspension poly mount and now I have a vibration above 60mph!!
I think that the tail of the tranny is now sitting too high and is causing t he drive shaft to pivot too much... does any one have this prob? and is is safe to shim it in order to correct the ds angle?
Thanks!

thats why enegry suspension DOESNT MAKE THESE ANYMORE!!!!!
they are too tall and cause a vibration.. if you a want a stronger than stock one that wont break. get the ls1 mount, it has these metal retiners that wont let the metal sperate and keeps the rubber in place.

Damnit! I didn't know that until now... but I think I can shim it make it a bit better hopefully it's enough! I hate this vibration! and it may sound stupid but I think the car has lost abi of power... maybe because the ds is pivoted to much or maybe just my Imagination??

I think the true cause of the vibration is our wonderfully UNbalanced drive shafts. Installation of the stiffer Poly mount will tend to make the vibration more pronounced. As the mount breaks in, it does get better.

Funny this dicussion should pop up... I have the same vibration after installing a ES transmission mount. I thought it was the driveshaft so I put a 1LE on the car and it got better but is not fixed.
Time for a LS1 mount... 1994 Trans Am, you do mean a LS1 mount and not a 1LE mount, right??
One step closer to vibration-free traveling,
Stephen

Hopefully this isn't the case with the Prothane tranny mount too...I have one sitting in the car, waiting to go on. I have enough vibes as it is with just the stock mount (could be attributed to crappy motor mounts though...they're getting replaced too).

I have the same problem that everyone is talking about, I too put the ES mount on my tranny, and that is when I started to feel a vibration. The only thing is that I don't think that it has to do with the driveline. The reason I say this is because mine occurs at around 2500 rpm in all the gears. I can be crusing down the highway at 70 and put it into nuetral and everything is as smooth as can be. I am leaning on the possiblility that it is my motor mounts, and I am just feeling more vibration because the ES mount is a little stiffer than the stock mount. What do you guys think?
