Vibes.....something bad?

What would cause a pulsing vibration that feels like its coming from by your feet? Also, I was lubing my u-joints the other day and noticed some tranny fluid and figure my rear tranny seal is gone or something. Went to check the fluid but can't figure out a reading on the stick. I know how and do it on my wifes car and previous cars no problem, but I can't tell where the heck "actual" level of the fluid is. Is it where the fluid is thick enough to be noticeably red or what?

The only thing I can thing of with the pulsing effect is the brake rotors. Does it pulse when braking or just driving period?

As far as the trans fluid. Make sure your car is running when you check it. Start it and run it through all the gears then put it back into park and check the level. You should see it. If you have oil that is.

ugh, sorry forgot some specifics. The pulsing starts probably around 4k rpms, never feel it other than racing really. On the fluid thing, as I said before I know how to check tranny fluid but on this car for some reason I can't tell where the "line" would be like if you check motor oil you can tell where its at on the stick.
