Not true. It could be acting lazy or it's gasket leaking and that would not throw a code. Bottom line is to quit guessing and throwing parts at it and get it on a scanner to really find out what the problem is. The computer can tell you most everything that is going on. You need to make use of this resource.

i thought i made it clear but i guess not. my bad.
i had it on a scanner and it did not throw any codes.

Using a scan tool to look for codes is only one part of it's usefulness. The other is to use it to monitor sensor function so suspected trouble points can be located.

I would check the fuel pressure while running, and also about 15-30 minutes after shutting it off--should be around 40-43psi.

Make sure it isn't bleeding down after shutoff. If it is, you may have leaky injectors and/or a failing fuel pump.

Sounds like when my fuel pump went out. Not fun.

maybe oil leak to sparkplugs?? i think mine is kinda does the same thing, i saw a leak in the plug wire #1....i'll change that, and keep you in touch

Im no expert AT ALL but could a bad MAF screw up the Gas mileage??

it probably could but i have a 93 so its speed density.

anyone else have any ideas?

i really appreciate the help.

Put a vacuum gauge on it .It should have a good steady vac at idle.Maybe intake gasket?

It can't be a intake elbow problem either like suggested earlier since it is a 93 car.

i dont have access to a pressure checker so im gonna check everything else first. if those dont fix it then ill take it to the shop for them to check it.

make sure they drive it with the gauge hooked up.
