very bad news...

I purchased a b&m holeshot 3400 stall with pickup last night. I went down too the garage too let the guy know that it would be in wednesday and he could install it. Come too find out he was killed in a car accident. I'm not confident in letting his son finish the build so my friend and i are gonna complete the build ourselves. This project has already taken longer than expected so i was wondering if anyone could point me too a set of aftermarket heads that will need no machine work that can be bolted on with my cc306 and go? Hedidnt finish the machining on the heads before he passed and i can't wait a month for le or ai's. Any help would be appreciated. I was looking at 200cc afr's and dart heads

Re: very bad news...

I am sorry to hear anyone was killed in a accident.

That said a B&M converter was a terrible choice, the 306 a pretty mediocre choice, unported aftermarket heads would be another pretty questionable choice.

Really headed down a poor road here.

In the interest of getting this done though I would look at one of the Trickflow options.
They have a few chamber and port size options. IMO AFR's reputation is BOUGHT with advertising, the Trickfows actually work better on a street/strip car.

Trickflow gen x 185cc with 54cc combustion chambers. I need something too bolt on and go that's not gonna be a waste of money. I'm gonna have them planed too bump compression up. I wanna let ya know dwayne that even though I've done everything you've told me not too I've still learned alot from your insights and what really works best for lt1 applications. I didn't wanna go with the 195 cc heads because they have 64cc chambers that will lower compression. What cam would you recommend for best all around performance? I love a car that pulls hard from 3500 up. I would've gone with ai or le but the turnaround is too long as i need my car ready and dynotuned by june 12th for cicero. I bought the b&m holeshot because they said it was "nitrous friendly". The damn thing was 500 bucks lol. I was under the impression that you get what u pay for with these things. I hope the b&m holds up because im running nitto nt05r dr's 265/40zr17's. The kit i was gonna go with was a zex wet kit put together for our cars. 650.00 comes with 75 100 125 jets. It is definitely a complete kit.

This (edited to what I know)

Off/on topic, I thought this was going to be about an engine biting the dust.
