vert problems

How can I fix the sag in my vert top? It is no longer pulled tightly around the rear glass and looks slightly draped. someone once gave the answer, "Yes it can be pulled tighter. Just unscrew the liner moldings and you will see how." however, I'm a vert top newbie, so I need more detailed instructions before I touch anything!

my advice --------------> go to a upholestry shop that specializes in vert tops. see what they will charge to fix it. i do all the work on my car heads/cam/tranny, and i had a shop repair my top.

I'm willing to put in the work to restretch it if I can do it myself. If anyone can explain more specifically how to do it, I'd like to try it myself before I go to a shop.

Is this just not the kind of project ordinary people attempt?

yes you were right in your first post. release the top as it were going down about half way down so that there is slack. then loosen the screws on the top where the metal plate is and pull.
just a little or else the top will not go down. There is one last adjustment in the trunk, again a metal plate with screws, loosen and pull just a bit. Try olny one of those first and see the results then do the other if needed.
