I got my starter problem fixed. The purple wire and the power wire were slightly touching, I changed the oriantation of the 12v source to the starter and it fixed that problem.

However, when I plug the positive terminal on the battery.... Inside my car makes like a dinging and clicking noise...

Click Click, Ding Ding, Click Click Ding Ding. Then it will stop for about 2 seconds and just recyle through the same process. It never stops. I also noticed in my dash area there is a blinking red light. The key doesnt have to be in the ignition for this clicking/dinging noise to happen. Did I not plug in my vats system or something??? My lower portion of my dash was taken apart when I removed the engine/tranny from the car. I am pretty sure that it had something to do with the actuator cylinder, but I am not sure what. It's been over a year, and I forgot a lot inbetween then.

Any info on this weird problem would be appreciated.
