Valvetrain Question

I am thinking of using some LT4 Rollers I purchased for my IROC on my 97 SS. I can't use them with my Trickflow heads on the IROC because they rest of the spring retainer, so the next plan is to use them on the SS or sell them. I am curious though if the stock heads will be able to handle the lift, I am not really sure what the exact specs are of my stock cam because there seems to be a great deal of LT1 cams out there with different numbers Anyways some information would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I ran them on my car without problems for about 25K mi.They will be close to binding the springs. You can check all the springs with a feeler gauge to be sure.I believe .020 is minimum clearance.

I wouldn't take my chances. While you are at it, go ahead and change the springs as well. Like joeSS97 said, it will be very close to binding if you don't replace the stock ones.

Thank you both for your advice, but does anyone have the #s for the 97 LT1 cam - the SS didn't get a different cam right? TIA
