OK, lets say we have a '94 Vette with an LT1, installed is a ZZ4 cam and LT4 valve springs. With the 1.5 stock rockers the lift is 510. If we went to 1.6 roller rockers the lift would go to 544 ( I believe that's about accurate ).

- Will the LT4 springs handle this lift increase or should the springs be upgraded too?

i'm pretty sure that the lt4 springs are pretty well maxed out with the hot cam and 1.6's and thats .525 lift. so going to almost 550 lift would probably cause them to coil bind. so i suggest upgrading the springs.

btw how do you like that cam. i considered it before i decided to build a whole nother engine. never talked to anybody with it in an lt1.

 

Belongs to a friend of mine, he says its great, makes power through the whole powerband and maintains an almost smooth idle quality.

 

Anyone else have a ZZ4 cam?
