valve spring question!
valve spring question!
i have a 93 LT1 motor that is gonna be used in a road race car (track only) that requires i use the stock motor down to the manifolds (and will even have to be restriced down to 230 RWHP w/ a restrictor plate!) there may be times i will need to rev the motor a little on the high side in order to prevent a shift just before i get to a corner and down shift. what would be a good valve spring to use in order to prevent valve float and survive the constant rpm's it will see for track duty?
Re: valve spring question!
stock everything else, the GM LT4 springs (ones in the Hotcam kit) might be a good alternative for you and will keep cost down alot, as you can find them in the for sale section every once in a while for $30-$50 for an unused set

You can probably search for them on the site, since they are sponsors here.
There site seems to be down now, but they know LT1 stuff and have some good prices on springs/cams...etc..
The springs I use are expensive and require some head work for the seat to work correctly, but I think they are CC 918's...double springs.
