Valve seats
Valve seats
I talked to my head porter and he said if I use the ferra 2.02 / 1.60 valves that I'd have to have new valve seats. First off, is this true.......second, what is a reasonable price for them. he quoted me $100 for the seats.....$100 to install. Does this reasonable.......or is he trying to make more money off of me?
next option is to use the 2.00/1.56 valves that are designed for the LT1 heads and stock seats.
The $200 is about right for the larger seats installed. These are needed when going 2.02/1.60's.
Using the 2.00/1.56 valves will save you $200 (since no seats are neaded) and there is a very small difference in the power of a 2.00/1.56 versus a 2.02/1.60.
You might hit the porter up on this.
