Valve Covers W/Compcams Pro Mag SA RR

I was wondering if the stock valve covers will support the Compcams 1:6 SA RR part number 1317-16. Do you have to cut the supports out from under the valve covers? What companies make centerbolt valve covers that are taller than stock but not the fab alum ones they cast like $300. Some pic's would help out if anyone has some of there set up.

Thanks Guys

I have Non S/A 1.6 Pro Mags, but I believe the S/A ones are the same size (anyone feel free to correct that).

A buddy of mine originally clearanced the stockers for me but I have since replaced them with the polished aluminum ones on Ebay that go for about $90. MUCH better. They're a nice addition (new bolts with allen wrench heads too), especially if you have your fuel rails and raised runners polished.

I did have to dremel out some of the supports on the new ones, but they are taller than stockers.. a really good deal IMO.

Stocker work fine. The webbing has a little flange to them. All you need to do is take some pliers and flatten them out as best you can. You may have to tweak here and there. Test install them as you go. No biggie. I have non sa pro mag 1.6 on my 355.

I am in the middle of a stroker build. I am thinking one engine and typing the other. My 355 has 1.6 Self Aligning Pro Mag rockers. Top of the line pushrods but no guide plates.

The stroker will have guide plates and non self aligning rockers.

Either way I beleive you will be fine. Although I have not tried the guide plates and non sa rockers with the stock covers yet. Very soon though.

RR and stock valve covers

Black95Form hit it correctly, yes stock will work.
I just want to add that I used a small pair of vice grips and you only do the long part of the webbing (stanchion) and roll the lip out straight. I then opened up my bendh vice jaws and flattened out the webbing so it was flatter, just move to the right then the left side of the vice to flaten it out with a small ball peen hammer. You could do this with a hammer and a pc of flat iron also. I just did this yesterday and you don't need to cut or bend the pvc baffle either.
