Valve cover gasket leak, possible?

I was told by a shop that I have leaks coming from my valve covers. I didn't think that those rubber gaskets could go bad Where should I get some new ones from, Cromer? Or do they just need to be readjusted?

One of the reasons I didn't think the valve covers were leaking was because I never saw much if any oil residue like I did when looking underneath the car where the oil pan is leaking. Today, I did see some oily/dirty grime around the coil, some spots under the VC's, and towards the front of the motor near the water pump.

Thanks for any help.

Well changing them is no problem as my vc's have been off countless times, I was just wondering if it is common for them to need replacing?

Also, if they need to be replaced, where can I find them at a good deal?

It's an issue for me because I have huge leak problems going on. I'm certain that the oil pan gasket is one area, but I was surprised to hear that my valve covers were also a culprit.

Sorry, my initial post is a little confusing.
