Depends on the valvetrain. Mine require .002-.004" with the motor at operating temperature.

right on, but what kind of valvetrain do you have? and i am mainly talking about the lt4 hotcam kit valvetrain...

Nothing overly special, just the lifters are tighter than the stockers. If you're using stock lifters, just set the hot cam kit like you would a normal small block.
