Angry UUUGH! What wiper assemblies FIT?

I am getting very frustrated. I need new wiper ASSEMBLIES. Not just the blades, but the head and blade.

I have replaced the assemblies with Bosch, Anco, and Rainex parts. All of them do the same thing. When the wiper goes about half way the arm bottoms out on the assembly causing it to lift the bottom of the blade from the windshield. Which ones work?

I did do a search and looked through 10 pages concerning wipers to no avail. Please help, stock heads will take about a week to get and are $25+ shipping!

I have the same problem with the anco's. I took it to autozone today and the stupid *** employee was like i can figure out whats wrong. He came out and told me I needed a new damn wiper arm. I was like that is not the problem, I told him that people have been having problems with them doing this. he said he didnt know.

I fixed the damn thing by bending the assembly, till the damn thing stayed in contact with the window. I think I'll prolly eventually just order some ac delcos after these wear out. Thats your best bet if u dont want to bend it. It wasnt very hard and u cant tell i did anything, but it works now (basically it looks normal). Hope that helps. I just bent the bottom part.

You have to get the exact fit ones from Napa, Autozone, or Advance. The Wal-Mart ones dont work.

or if you want to lose a couple fingers, go to the dealership. I got so frustrated with places replacing them with the wrong ones and myself not being able to as well that i just went there and bought the replacements. $94 for both... isnt that a bitch

Autozone sells Anco replacement wiper blades/heads specially designed for late model F-Bodies.

I will try Autozone again.

I think this time I will just buy one of each brand until I find one that fits and then try to let everyone know on here.

im pretty sure i got the penske ones too, but the ends lift up so it wipes in the middle and the outsides of the blades are really crappy but as long as i can see i dont mind, besides the rain in so cal isnt that bad so i dont mind

when i first got my car i was trying everything out to make sure it all worked... i didnt check but the wiper arm didnt have a blade on it, and i got a huge scrape in my glass

I got the fbody specific ones from Autozone, but still had to do some bending to get 100% contact. I can now see in the rain!! Which is important around here lol as that is all it does most of the year it seems. I would not pay $94 dollars for a strip of rubber and a little aluminum. Ouch!! That hurts!!

Thats only if you pay their retail prices. If you go through Dal, Jason or even GMpartsdirect you can get them for less than $25 each.

I have not seen any Penske brand, but I will look. We dont have a Kmart here anymore.

When everyone is saying the"f-body specific from Autozone", what brand are you talking about?

Also, if I resort to bending, what part do I need to bend? (The arm or the head?)

I don't remember the specific brand Anco I think but I would not swear to it it has been a while. I just looked up the model in the book in store and they only have one or two brands that fit us, and they are not the same size for both sides. Only my driver’s side lifted like you described, and I bent just the head towards the end and the legs that attach to the blade itself to get an even cure that fits the window. Hope that helps.

Anco makes a specialty blade just for our cars. But they were still 15.00 apiece...
