...yeah, and right after I was bragging on a post the other day about how I've never had any problems with my car! Anyway, when I start out my car makes a 'thud' or 'clank' like sound, then again when it goes into second gear the same sound but not when it goes into third or overdrive {Auto, '94 Firebird}. The noise sounds like it comes from the rear of the car. Rear end? Driveshaft? U-Joints? Please help! any ideas? How do I trouble shoot this? Thanks Bill...

also i buddy of mine had a torque arm mount break, he thought the rear end was gone...check it also, maybe it will be something simple
it wouldnt hurt to check your u joints too.
